More than 5,000 people have climbed Mount Everest. Over 500 astronauts have been to space. Yet, fewer than 100 people have managed to sail non-stop, solo and unassisted around the world. This, in itself, is amazing. However, what is striking is that fewer than 10 have been women.

In November this year, British ocean yacht racer, Pip will join 33 other skippers on the start line of the infamous Vendée Globe. In completing this gruelling race, she will join the likes of Dame Ellen MacArthur as one of the few women to have raced a yacht around the world, solo and unassisted.
