The world's most prestigious offshore yacht race, with its new controversial course

£4,800 per person

Join the crew of the Volvo 70 Telefonica Black for a race campaign that'll take you from short offshore races out of the Solent to taking part in the infamous Rolex Fastnet Race. As part of the crew you'll be fully involved in both the preparation and racing of the yacht. There's no paying to be "just rail meat" here. All crew members will have the chance to try every role onboard, from nav to helming to tactics to bow and - everyone's favourite - sail trim!

On the Volvo 70 you'll be flying at the front of the fleet with the fully professional crews, so be prepared for a ride you'll never forget.

Start: Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, 06 August 2021

Finish: Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, 16 August 2021

Starting in August 2021, the race will take us through The Needles Channel, and will follow the southern coastline of England, westward down the English Channel, before rounding Land’s End. After crossing the Celtic Sea, the race rounds the Fastnet Rock off the southwest coast of Ireland. Returning to the new host finish port of Cherbourg, with around 750nM of some of the most exciting offshore yacht racing there is.

The Fastnet has got to be on every sailors bucket list as it challenges our inshore and offshore skills. Kraken’s amazing Fastnet Package includes a Professional Skipper along with 2 x Mates on board for all water training and races.
