Sail the east coast of the Algarve towards Vila Real de Santo Antonio (30 miles) and came to enter into the Guadiana river with high water.
The 745km river empties into the Gulf of Cadiz between Ayamonte and Vila Real de Santo António, the two highly touristic regions of the Algarve and the sea-side of Andalusia. This adventure is the perfect combination of sailing and historic and cultural discovery. As you glide down the river enjoying the gorgeous views you'll have the opportunity to learn about the traditional trade of fabrics, ceramics, wines and much more.
You'll get to see the early day fishing ports such as Vila Real de Santo António, and learn how the are has developed over time, whilst enjoying the fantastic local food as we go.
