Experience the thrill of racing on a high-performance ‘Volvo Open 70’ as you sail around the stunning and varied coastline of Ireland in the Round Ireland Race. 

During this incredible offshore adventure, you will be given world-class coaching by pro crew as you compete in Ireland’s premier offshore race. Enhancing your skills in every job onboard this iconic offshore racing machine, you will have the opportunity to practice your navigation and helming, trimming, grinding and foredeck.

Push your comfort zone for a truly genuine experience of life as an elite ocean racer, with basic race yacht accommodation and freeze-dried food: the trade-offs for an invigorating ride around Ireland. Whether you are a novice sailor or more experienced, this trip promises to get your adrenaline pumping, as you fully immerse yourself in the world of offshore, improving your racing skills and working as a team with your new crewmates.

You will join the team for an entire campaign which will include two training days, plus two qualifying races, (Myth of Malham and De Guingand Bowl) before competing in the Round Ireland Race.

You’ll join our team for an entire campaign, as part of this you will be included in the entire Round Ireland Race. The campaign will including two training days (dates tbc), plus two qualifying races, (Myth of Malham and De Guingand Bowl). There will also be optional transfers to and from Ireland. After training, safety briefings and boat inductions, you will be flying round Ireland in no time; during this trip you’ll have the opportunity to try multiple roles on board, including, helming, grinding, pit and bow.
