Your cruise will take place off the south coast in Sri Lanka, a famous destination for whale watching. Between November and April, your itinerary will allow you to enjoy the beautiful beaches of the South where barbecues at the edge of the water are organized and a Dolce Vita cruise where the keyword is ‘relaxation’.
SRI LANKA DREAM SOUTH ITINERARY
7 days / 6 nights cruise, Mirissa – Mirissa
Day 1 – Sunday – Mirissa / Weligama Bay
Welcome on board! Board at 4 pm in the picturesque and colourful Mirissa Fisheries Harbour. After installation and security briefing, we set sails for a short cruise to the magnificent Weligama Bay,
where you can relax. Dinner on board under the stars.
Day 2 – Monday – Weligama Bay / Dutch Fort of Galle
Breakfast on board. Departure to Jungle beach, in Galle. Captain will drive you with a dinghy to the beach and crew will arrange for a walking tour of the Dutch colonial fort city of Galle recognised as an UNESCO World Heritage. Dinner and night anchorage near Jungle beach.
Day 3 – Tuesday – Dutch Fort of Galle / Tallala
After a good breakfast, sail towards Tallala. Swim and sun bathe on the beautiful Tallala beach. Optional visit of a local fish or fruit market (with extra charge, payment on spot). Diner and night at Tallala beach.
Day 4 – Wednesday – Tallala / Kudawella
Breakfast on board followed by sailing towards the yet virgin and preserved beaches of
Kudawella. Visit to fisheries villages and local temples can be organised (with extra charge, payment on spot). After lunch on board, enjoy a relaxing swin and a stand-up paddle boarding session. Fish or seafood for dinner on board.
Day 5 – Thursday – Kudawella / Tangalle and Dickwella
After breakfast, and a good swim we set sails to Tangalle and Dickwella. On shore you have the option to be taken by dinghy to Hiriketiya and Mawella beaches for a relaxing walk or a good swim in the warm tropical waters. Weather permitting, you’ll enjoy a BBQ dinner on shore.
Day 6 – Friday – Tangalle / Dondra and Mirissa
Whale watching! We depart early towards the coast of Dondra and Mirissa to watch the many species of Whales, including the world’s largest Mammal: the Blue Whale, and playful dolphins
of the Indian Ocean. We’ll have breakfast and lunch during the cruise. We then spend the afternoon in the relaxing beach of Mirissa for a swim or a stand up paddle boarding session.
Sunset drinks and beach BBQ dinner at a secluded private beach in Weligama.
Day 7 – Saturday – Mirissa Harbour
Short sailing to Mirissa Fisheries Harbour where you’ll disembark at 10:00 am after breakfast
