Experience the thrill and power of a high-performance racing yacht as you sail from Malta to Italy

4 nights: 27 - 31 October 2020

£650 per person

Join us as we journey from the glowing shores of Malta and power our way over to beautiful Cagliari, Sardinia, bagging at least 600 nautical miles. This adventure is perfect for anyone looking some serious sailing thrill, and become at one with the wind and sea. Whether your an experienced sailor or a novice this adventure is like no other and you will always have the opportunity to experience something new.

Passing the tip of Italy on your right and Northern Africa on the left as you power towards your destination, windswept, salty, but happy, having accomplished an amazing journey onboard one of the most extreme racing yachts.

Over 5 days, you will have the opportunity to helm, trim, practice evolutions, passage plan, weather route and if you are a budding yacht master you can have the opportunity to skipper a thrilling passage under the watchful eye of a Yachtmaster instructor.

Don’t think this will be a luxury ride! Such a high-performance racing yacht does not come with many creature comforts. Cramped quarters, freeze-dried food and basic accommodation are the trade-off for a fast boat, many miles, stunning scenery and the most exhilarating ride. We do it just as the elite ocean racers do so you truly get a genuine experience.

The reward at the end of this epic trip is the gorgeous sight of Cagliari rising up from the ocean, with its hilltop castle overlooking the buzzing streets and quaint historic churches and buildings.

With stunning cities and unbeatable sailing, this is an adventure not to be missed.

We begin our journey in the glowing city of Valletta, Malta. It may be one of the worlds smallest cities, but it’s packed with culture and history and is home to two UNESCO World Heritage sites. On the evening of arrival 27th Oct 2020, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the city as well as meet the crew and settle down for dinner and get yourself comfy onboard.

The next morning the journey beginnings, after some training and familiarisation with the boat we shall leave the sheltered harbour of Malta and head out to sea.

The exact itinerary and stop-overs will be dictated by the weather forecast. There are several options en route to stop over, showcasing the best local life of Southern Italy along the way.

Your time onboard will involve not only sailing, but authentic racing snack lunches and freeze-dry lunches, meeting and working with lovely people, a huge amount of teamwork, and sitting down at the end of the day with a beer to prepare for the journey the following day.

You’ll arrive in Cagliari, Sardinia on 31st October 2020. You’re welcome to stay on board the night of the 31st October for onward travel the following day.
