7 nights: 03 - 10 December 2023
Fr om $7,000 per cabin*
Sail through the remote and almost completely undisturbed islands of Raja Ampat, renowned for their amazing diversity of marine life, jungles teeming with rare birds of paradise, and tropical mangroves waiting to be explored.
The archipelago boasts some of the richest coral reef ecosystems on earth, including those at Yangelo islands, home to wobbegong sharks. Sail to remote dive spots including coral reefs, blue-water drop-offs, mangrove flats and seagrass beds. To dive on this trip, you must have diving experience, but if you are happy snorkelling in these tropical surroundings, you are more than welcome to join the adventure.
At the intersection of the Indian and Pacific Ocean, Raja Ampat teems with life, fed by deep-sea currents funnelling nutrients into the sea. Discover mantas at Manta Ridge in central Raja Ampat, where up to 30 rays gather at cleaning stations about 6m deep. Waigeo offers divers drift dives and sightings of green sea turtles, Indian lionfish, large wrasse, and white and blacktip sharks. Since 2010, Raja Ampat has been part of the Shark and Ray Sanctuary, providing these animals with a safe haven to reproduce.
This journey will not only take you to some of the richest underwater ecosystems but to islands bursting with exotic life. Climb the dramatic limestone peaks of Wayag, kayak through tropical mangroves, and relax on one of the many untouched white sand beaches, or simply read a book on your yacht after an active day of exploring.
