On this five-day sailing adventure, we will visit the south of Lanzarote, with its well-known Papagayo beach, one of the most beautiful on the island. We will also collaborate with an NGO working for the conservation of cetaceans in a citizen science project. To top it off, we will visit the small and uninhabited Isla de Lobos, a neighbouring island located north of Fuerteventura.
Boarding will be at Marina Lanzarote, in Arrecife starting at 4pm. Once we are on board, we will sail south until we reach the Playa Quemada area, where we will look for an anchorage to spend the night.
Today the scientific NGO for the protection of cetaceans in the Canary Islands awaits us. We will learn about your project and take part in the citizen science program. Sailing with their team of natural scientists, we’ll carry out a range of sightings and data collection tasks.
We will spend the day at the beautiful Papagayo beach. It is an incredible place to enjoy a day of sun and sea, surrounded by nature and an incredible landscape. It is also a perfect point to get closer to the Natural Monument of Los Ajaches, a volcanic massif, with steep cliffs that end in the sea, and where we can enjoy spectacular views.
Today we will visit the Isla de Lobos. We will take a walking tour and for those who want to snorkel in its waters, or SCUBA dive to discover its underwater world.
Lobos is a good place to find the perfect wave to surf if conditions allow it for those of you who have surfing experience.
After a good breakfast enjoying the calm that Isla Lobos continues to offer us, we will sail back to Arrecife. Disembarkation will be around 4pm.
