Explore the Solent and New Forest rivers in the most up close and personal way possible: Paddle power!

2 night: Various Dates

£595 per person

Float through the stunning Hampshire scenery of chalk cliffs rising over calm creeks and drift up beautiful rivers where horses run wild. During your paddling expeditions, you'll be able to explore the hidden treasure of the Solent and see it's natural beauty up close. Throw yourself into the sailing, and paddling, then wrap up warm with a cup of hot chocolate on board the cosy yacht and relax under the summer night stars.

The paddling: Living onboard we will have our own mobile base camp from which to undertake a different paddleboarding adventure each day. You will enjoy unique access to remote and stunning wilderness. The paddling will be in sheltered locations, you don’t need to be an expert paddleboarder and absolute beginners are more than welcome.

Day 1: Welcome on board

You will join our yacht in Port Hamble, in the evening. Our professional crew will welcome you aboard, show you to your cabin and make sure that you’re settled. The rest of the evening is yours to explore the local area. Check out the Kraken Travel app for our recommendations of pubs, restaurants and walks.

Day 2: Setting sail

It’s up early for breakfast and then it’s time to head out into the Solent for a day of SUP and sail. The weather and tide will dictate where to go, but you can expect to drop anchor in a variety of bays and rivers from which you can explore more on your SUP. At night, we’ll either head to a local marina or spend the night at anchor under and sleep under the mid-summer stars.

Day 3: Exploring

Another early breakfast, and if conditions are very flat, we’ll head to the famous Needles off the Isle of Wight and paddle under the famous cliff. However, it can be a little bumpy out there, so if it’s not possible, we have plenty of other great spots to throw the boards in the water and explore. Following an action-packed day on the water, we’ll head back to Port Hamble and disembark around 4pm.

Please note that the itinerary provided above is provided to illustrate the general areas that we will visit. The exact itinerary that we follow will be chosen each day by your skipper in order to make the best use of the weather conditions. Since we operate with just a small number of guests on board, we can tailor the areas that we explore based on your interests.

  • Accommodation on board, including bedding and duvet.
  • Breakfast, lunch, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks on board.
  • Use of onboard equipment, including SUP
  • Offshore standard lifejacket.
  • Professional and qualified skipper and mate.
  • Travel costs to and from start/end point of trip
  • Any food ashore
  • Open to beginner sailors and paddlers

Experience level: There is no sailing experience required to join this expedition, we can show you all the ropes as we go. Our aim is to explore the secluded nooks and crannies of the coastline rather than take on extended crossings. Boards and paddles will be provided but you should bring your own wetsuit/drysuit and PFD if you have one.
