A professional guide will guide you on and in the water as you explore Scotland. During this cruise, we will swim twice a day in company with four guests and a swim guide, while we sail between breath-taking locations and anchor every night in a different location.

6 nights: Various August & September

£1,300 per person

As a fully qualified snorkel instructor, Skipper John has a real passion for wild swimming, so we actively encourage this. However, we feel these trips go that bit further and have wild swimming at their core so these trips are close to his heart. We will be joined by a qualified and experienced expert to guide and coach you, and if you would like some expert pointers on technique while being fully supported with safety craft cover, then, of course, take a nice warm shower and don't forget your cake back on your yacht. Each day, we will sail between anchorages, giving us the opportunity to wild swim in some hard-to-reach places with the security and comfort of a yacht to return to.

Trip Description

Our suggested itinerary for this trip will depart and return to Mallaig a great stepping off point to access some world class wild swimming locations.

On this cruise we will swim in company with 4 guests and swim guide, full support and safety cover by paddle board and or inflatable tender, Swimming twice a day sailing between breath taking locations and anchoring every night in a different spot.

You’ll get a chance to swim around island castles, and visit and swim to the islands of Skye, Rum, Eigg, Canna, Soay and Muck, as well as some hard-to-reach mainland swim spots in Moidart and Knoydart.

Come join us, whether you’re an experienced swimmer or just curious about what all the fuss is about. We can’t guarantee you won’t be hooked.

We meet at the pontoons in Mallaig on Sunday afternoon, just a short walk from the railway station, so traveling to and from is easy. As the West Highland Line is ranked among the most scenic train rides in the world and has connections to Harry Potter, your holiday has already begun if you choose to travel by train.

Following an introduction to the boat and crew, a safety brief, we will head to a local anchorage to get our sea legs and let you get to know your new home.

We will up anchor after breakfast and sail to our first swim site, enjoy a group supported swim, then return to the yacht for coffee and cake as we sail to our second swim site and overnight anchorage. Swimming stunning locations, getting a hot shower, and then sitting down to a home cooked hot meal of local sustainable produce, watching the sunset, and recalling stories under the stars are the kinds of experiences you can’t find anywhere else. Each day we repeat this in a different location before returning to Mallaig for onward travel.

All our cruises are weather dependent, so we will make changes to the itinerary as conditions and swim safety dictate. Fortunately, this area has an almost unlimited selection of beautiful spots.

In addition to staying aboard during the swim, you can also hop into the safety tender during the swim.
