5 Nights: 21 – 26 May 2023
From: €1,095 / £990 per person*
Connect with nature on the west coast of Scotland with its diverse and breathtaking backdrop. Vast skies and the open sea soothe your mind as our instructors guide you through a range of mindfulness exercises. Whether it is Vinyasa or Yin yoga, mindful walking, fire energy, breathwork, or taking a dip in the sea, we welcome people from a wide variety of backgrounds and styles.
Start your day with light activities like Pranayama (breathing work) to calm your mind, or vinyasa yoga to move your body. You can then enjoy a delicious and healthy breakfast before sailing to your next destination. When the wind blows, it brings the peace of being on a sailboat. The serene ocean awaits you under calm conditions, and you can keep an eye out for the various creatures that inhabit the water and under it. A hopping trip between secluded anchorages leads to the enjoyment of this "sensational" area and to experiencing nature's healing power.
The yoga part will be done by a Scottish lady named Emma, she’s an experienced sailor as well as a yoga instructor having completed several yoga instructor courses in the Dominican Republic and Italy. Some of the other activities will be run by Esther, a German lady who works as a coach and specialises in outdoor activities such as walking on fire.
Most of the activities will be relatively low level so suitable for all experience levels.
The indicated program is a guide and can be adjusted under the influence of weather, flow, and wind. Flexibility is a rule on this trip.
The Seatreat starts in the picturesque fishing village of Oban. From 18:00, you are welcome on board to meet the crew and instructors. In the evening, we journey to a quiet anchorage in Loch Sunart.
As we sail to Canna, you will have the opportunity to help with sailing and surrender to the rhythm of life on the water, introducing you to vinyasa yoga, quiet exercises, and pranayama. When we arrive at Canna, amid the rocky coast and spring flowers, we head out to the puffin colony on Sandra Island for some puffin therapy. Then, back onboard, we practice yin yoga to calm the mind and body so we can sleep peacefully.
The day begins with a walk to Coroghon Castle and a short introduction to Hatha yoga on the beach. Then, we set sail for a trip to Rum, watching out for marine life and the Norwegian shearwaters that nest there. Upon arriving at Rum, a special nature reserve, you might be able to spot one of the many red deer roaming the island. In the afternoon we do a yoga/Pilates session at the community centre on the island and prepare for an evening of fire activities and a cocoa session.
We begin our day with breathing exercises and meditation followed by a peaceful walk on Rum and anchor at a sandy beach on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. In the evening, we indulge in an “Excited dance” on the beach to let us go all the way while swimming in the azure blue water.
Morning Meditation
On deck, we practice vinyasa yoga before making our way south through the Sound of Mull and into the straits. We eat a closing feast and reflect on the week. The boat anchors near a beautiful island near Oban.
After breakfast, we say goodbye to each other before we leave the ship at 10:00 AM.
Recommendation: Scotland’s west coast is a spectacular place with an amazing variety of weather types that make every trip here unique. From spectacular sunsets, mysterious landscapes shrouded in mist, refreshing showers, and wind-shaped coasts, there is no end to the diversity and the different ways to embrace the weather and the landscapes. Come with an open heart and mind because the weather will guide us through this unforgettable journey, rain or shine.
Please note: With all tours as exciting as this, we can be at the mercy of prevailing conditions, particularly the weather. So, a degree of flexibility and an open-minded attitude is helpful. Should we make any changes to the itinerary, we will ensure you have an equally engaging and insightful experience.
This is not a floating hotel but a traditional sailing ship that is comfortable, intimate and small enough to anchor directly next to many of the distilleries. Alongside the crew and Barry’s lodging, the ship has berth for 22 guests. It was restored and renovated during the winter of 2003/2004, turning it into a luxury schooner.
The ship has a large deck area on which you can sit and soak up the sun. There is a cosy bar in the deckhouse and plenty of room for eating together on deck.
All of the cabins on board are twin en-suites with air-conditioning.. Please don’t forget to bring a European plug adapter to plug your electrical devices in your cabins.

Warm and waterproof clothing is very important, as it can get very cold during sailing, especially at night, even in the summer. A waterproof and windproof jacket is recommended to help keep warm and dry. Waterproof rubber-soled boots or shoes are also recommended to keep your feet dry and warm. Pack comfortable and practical clothing for all weather circumstances, the key is layers. It is recommended to pack in a soft bag that can be easily stored away as there is no locker room onboard for suitcases. Also in the cabins, there are 2-pin European plug sockets and USB sockets so guests will need to bring adapters if they are from outside the EU.
List of items we recommend you bring with you; these are not mandatory.
