Dartmouth Regatta has it all, staged during the Dartmouth Festival the regatta has a carnival feel throughout. The picturesque and safe harbour of the river Dart provides an inspiring historic backdrop with the Dartmouth Royal Naval College. Dartmouth is surrounded by the picturesque green rolling hills of South Devon and the regatta offers superb inshore racing with courses set beyond the river out in the nearby bays. The week culminates with a fantastic fireworks display to mark the finale!
Dartmouth Regatta is undoubtedly one of the best regattas there is. It is an absolute must for anyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere with great socializing and fantastic racing. Our teams return to Dartmouth year after year to enjoy this popular sailing regatta.
There will be a training day in Dartmouth on Wednesday, followed by five fabulous days of inshore regatta racing, comprising a mix of windward-leeward courses and coastal races.
Itinerary
You will join the boat in Dartmouth on Tuesday morning for the training day. There is the option to sail the yacht to and from Hamble, logging some additional offshore miles at no extra cost. The return milebuilder leaves Sunday afternoon after racing, returning to Hamble on Monday morning.
Our Dartmouth Regatta package provides a great mix of offshore deliveries and inshore racing whilst enjoying the carnival atmosphere that is famous at Dartmouth

August – Sun 25th and Mon 26th – Optional Delivery Hamble – Dartmouth (exact meeting time as early as possible on Sunday morning but TBA to catch the tide. Please plan to arrive in Hamble on Saturday night.)
Afternoon Mon 26th August – Arrive at Dartmouth (if not on delivery)
Tuesday 27th August – Training Day
Wed 28th August – Sat 31st August – Racing!!!
Saturday evening – Sunday 1st September – Optional return delivery to Hamble
(note – this is slightly different to ‘normal’ Dartmouth Weeks as the Bank Holiday is on August 26th)
