Book your berth on one of the Volvo 70 for the premier transatlantic yacht race between the Canary Islands and the Caribbean.
Top-end ocean racing, true adventure, and cooling rum punch are guaranteed, and – as you might expect – previous sailing experience is a must.
We want to make sure you get the full experience and that you are part of the team from Day 1. In the run-up to the race, we will introduce you to all the other crew members, and discuss tactics, sail plans, weather, and polar. On arrival in Lanzarote, have a boat orientation and safety brief as well as go over the MOB procedures. After a day alongside we will head out for 2 sail training days prior to the race start. After the race starts, settle into watch systems immediately and there will be a full-time crew member on each watch to carry on with your training throughout the race. Experience all aspects of the boat, rotate the watches on the helm, pit, trim, bow, and navigation/tactics. We look after all the cooking and housekeeping for you so you can make the most of the racing.
