Cowes Week is one of the largest yachting regattas in the world, it’s been running since 1826 and now attracts over 1000 yachts and up to 8000 racers from all over the world. Racing takes place on the Solent, which is a challenging stretch of water between the Isle of Wight and the ‘North Island’ as the locals call the mainland.
8 Days: 29 July - 05 August 2022
£1250 per person
It’s a challenging regatta with strong tides, interesting race courses that you just don’t get in other regattas and really good shoreside activities with something for everyone.
The yacht is professionally maintained and raced competitively in major regattas and offshore events in the UK, Europe and the Caribbean. She comes with an extensive racing sail wardrobe and has been modified from the factory original for ease and functionality of racing.
Our Beneteau 47.7 is MCA coded category 2 for 14 people and ISAF coded to Cat. 1 She sleeps up to 10 in four separate cabins, all berths are equipped with lee cloths for use at sea.
Please view ‘Other Practical Information’ for more information on sail wardrobe and race results.
Arrival on the boat and meet your skipper and crew, followed by a safety brief and the regatta programme. You will spend the day getting to know your crew.
There is usually one race per day lasting around 4 to 6 hours and most racing utilises the many laid race marks around the Solent itself.
Accommodation isn’t included in this package so please find somewhere local to stay, however, if you are struggling to find somewhere please contact us to discuss and we will help find you a solution.
