The Heineken Regatta takes place at Sint Maarten which is the smallest inhabited island in the world, divided between two nations, the French and the Dutch and this lends the island a unique air.

The Heineken Regatta St Maarten runs in 2024 from 29th February to 3rd March (Training Day 28th February). This world-renowned sailing event offers World Class Racing, with trade winds coming from the North East, an average temperature of 25°C, and crystal clear waters.

Yacht – Beneteau 47.7

The yacht is professionally maintained and raced competitively in major regattas and offshore events in the UK, Europe, and the Caribbean. She comes with an extensive racing sail wardrobe and has been modified from the factory original for ease and functionality of racing.

Our Beneteau 47.7 is MCA-coded category 2 for 14 people and ISAF coded to Cat. 1 She sleeps up to 10 in four separate cabins, and all berths are equipped with lee cloths for use at sea.

28 February 2024: Arrival on the boat, safety briefing, and on the water Race Training Day

29 February – 03 March 2024: This world-renowned sailing event offers World Class Racing, with trade winds coming from the North East, an average temperature of 25°C, and crystal clear waters. This event is included in our Caribbean Traineeship Programme.

The Heineken Regatta takes place at Sint Maarten which is the smallest inhabited island in the world divided between two nations, the French and the Dutch and this lends the island a unique air. Fantastic sailing conditions, a dedicated race village, great marinas and anchorages, and vibrant shore life top of the picture. Our campaign base is the race village marina right on the doorstep of all the sailing and shoreside activities.
