The first GSW event took place in Jan/Feb 2013 and since then it has become firmly established. The number of participants has increased, courses have been fine-tuned for more challenging racing, classes have been added to accommodate a larger range of yachts, and a variety of venues have been selected to showcase the island of Grenada.

2019 saw 50 registrations with over 350 sailors from over 15 countries. Come on board and join in the excitement and fun as this popular event goes from strength to strength. The regatta itself is made up of five days of fun and sailing frolics around the island. Four out of five days are made up of different races and then partying in the evening, the remaining day is a lay day of activities. Our package includes 4 days of training.

Grenada is a beautiful island shaped by its intriguing history of South American and European settlements and features rainforests, lakes and waterfalls, mile-long beaches and fabulous cuisine both local and international.

Day 1-3 – Training

Arrival in Grenada and welcome on board at Port Louis Marina, located in St George’s Inner Harbour. Meet your skipper and crew at 12:00, followed by a safety brief and the regatta program. You will spend the day getting to know your crew, followed by provisioning, getting the boat ready for the regatta and training to bind the team into a race crew.

Day 4 – Training and Welcome Party

After breakfast you will continue to make last enhancements to the boat. In the evening the crew will attend the Island Water World Welcome Party.
