Top-end ocean racing, true adventure and cooling rum punch are guaranteed and – as you might expect – previous sailing experience is a must. But so is the trip...
We want to make sure you get the full experience and that you are part of the team from Day 1. On the run-up to the race, we will introduce you to all the other crew members, discuss tactics, sail plans, weather and polars. On arrival in Lanzarote, we will have a boat orientation and safety brief as well as going over the MOB procedures. After a day alongside we will head out for 2 sail training days prior to the race start. After race start, we settle in to watch systems immediately and there will be a full-time crew member on each watch to carry on with your training throughout the race. You get to experience all aspects of the boat, we rotate the watches on the helm, pit, trim, bow and navigation/tactics. We look after all the cooking and housekeeping for you so you can make the most of the racing.
