Join Team Kraken for the annual Round the Island Race. Dating back to 1930, the race attracts thousands of sailors to the Isle of Wight for this one-day spectacular.
30 June - 01 July 2023
£695 per person
The race regularly attracts over 1,400 boats and around 15,000 sailors, making it one of the largest yacht races in the world. It is also the fourth largest participation sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon and the Great North and South Runs.
Arrival on the boat and meet your skipper and crew, followed by a safety brief and then out on the water for a day of race training. Don’t worry if you’ve never raced before, the professional crew will teach you all that you need to know to help you perform at your very best on race day.
It’s a very early morning start off Cowes, where yachts set off for an anti-clockwise lap of the Isle of Wight. The ~57NM course is a fantastic test for all sailors, and the apres sail in the race village afterwards is legendary!
Note – we strongly advise that crew book accommodation ashore for this event. Also there are bunks available, they’re made for racing underway, so aren’t comfortable when tied up alongside!
Our team of sailing specialists are on hand to help answer any questions you may have.
