Take part in one of the most prestigious sailing events in the world – and a Kraken favorite! Antigua Sailing Week is a highlight of the Caribbean sailing calendar and draws sailors from across the globe to the stunning waters of Antigua and Barbuda.

The event features a 5-day schedule of competitive racing, and is renowned for its close, tactical races, with courses weaving around the beautiful coastline of Antigua. The regatta attracts a diverse fleet, from small local boats to high-performance racing yachts and luxurious superyachts.

However, Antigua Sailing Week is more than just a sailing competition. The on-shore activities are just as much a part of the event. Every day of racing concludes with a vibrant party, featuring live music, dancing, and a variety of food and drink showcasing the local cuisine. The atmosphere is electric and the camaraderie among sailors and spectators is palpable.

Antigua Sailing Week is one of the top regattas in the Caribbean. Lots of proven sailors and boats known from glossy sailing magazines crawl out of their hiding places to meet up for some proper racing. Some of the yachts attending are staggering by their size, others by racing pedigree and some because of tradition and style. Nelsons Dockyard, that house some of the evening events, is a world heritage site and an attraction of its own. The ambiance and camaraderie among so many talented sailors give memories for life.

Antigua Sailing Week is a full-on racing regatta with a very rich after-sail venue. You don’t have to be an experienced sailor to join but it’s good if you’ve done some racing before signing up. The main thing is to keep up the good spirits!
