Marina Bas du Fort, Grande-Terre

Day 1 – Saturday: Pointe-à-Pitre

Board at Marina Bas du Fort on Grande-Terre, Guadeloupe’s largest city. We’ll sail 30 minutes to Îlet du Gosier on the south-west coast, which is known for its spectacular coral reef and quiet beaches. This is a wonderful snorkelling spot and there’s also a sunken tug to snorkel nearby. Night onboard, at anchor.

Day 2  Sunday: Marie-Galante

After breakfast, we’ll set sail for two hours to Marie-Galante, the island of a hundred windmills, of which 70 can still be seen today. We’ll arrive at Anse Canot on the west coast, one of the island’s most beautiful beaches. You must try the local rum, which is said to be the finest in the world. Lunch on board.

Day 3 – Monday: Dominica

After breakfast, we’ll sail for four hours to Dominica, ‘The Nature Island of the Caribbean’, It’s one of the most undeveloped islands within the Caribbean and the mountainous, volcanic scenery is unspoiled. We’ll arrive in Portsmouth and explore further after customs and immigration are completed. You’ll be close to the island’s only white-sand beach and the Cabrits National Park with its hiking trails. Lunch on board.

Day 4 – Tuesday: Dominica

Day 5 – Wednesday: Pigeon Island

After breakfast, we’ll navigate to the west coast of Guadeloupe, which takes about seven hours with a couple of memorable stops on the way. We’ll lunch at anchor nearby under the wind of the island. After lunch, we’ll sail three hours to the Cousteau Reserve facing Pigeon Island where you’ll be able to see coral, tropical fish, turtles and humpback whales. It’s one of the world’s most renowned dive locations. Dinner and night on board.

Day 6 – Thursday: Islands of the Saints (Les Saintes)

After breakfast, you can relax and enjoy water activities from the boat, snorkelling, swimming and paddleboarding. If you like diving, there is a possibility of scuba diving with local clubs. After lunch, we’ll sail for three hours to the archipelago of Saintes with its eight islands, mooring at Pain de Sucre. Dinner and night on board.

Day 7 – Friday: Islands of the Saints (Les Saintes)

After breakfast, we’ll head to Terre de Haut Bay, the main island and one of the two inhabited islands in the archipelago. We’ll anchor in the bay and you can explore on land. The island has beaches perfect for swimming and fine snorkelling.

Lunch on board and then some free time before we sail four hours to Îlet du Gosier. Dinner and night on board.

Day 8 – Saturday: Pointe à Pitre

After breakfast, you’ll disembark around 10am at Bas du Fort marina.

The itinerary may be subject to change without notice for meteorological and/or technical reasons, depending on the captain’s decision.

– Day 2: Marie-Galante: A bus tour of the island where you’ll visit a museum, cassava mill and rum distillery (about 3 h).

– Day 3: Dominica: Rowing boat trip on the Indian River and walk back through the fruit plantations and through Portsmouth village.

– Day 4: Dominica: Island tour by bus with a driver-guide that includes, North Road, Amerindian Reserve Kalinago, stop in the National Park, the impressive ‘Emerald Pool’ natural waterfall in the rainforest and the island’s south and the west coast. You’ll have lunch in a restaurant in the rainforest and see the famous Trafalgar waterfalls (60m high) with a guide. You’ll return to the boat through the capital, Roseau, and by the west coast.

– Day 7: Les Saintes: Village tour and walk to Fort Napoleon.
