Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor is perfectly wedged between striking fjord-like mountains and the Adriatic Sea. This picturesque submerged river valley is made up of four connected bays which stretch inland from the coast. Due to its impressive towering peaks and a rocky coastline, dotted with charming waterside towns, it is often referred to as Europe’s most southernmost fjord.

The bay is about 17 miles long from its opening into the Adriatic Sea to the harbour of the city and has 67 miles of shoreline, surrounded by breathtaking mountain chains of the Dinaric Alps. This dramatic medieval town is where the past and present coexist.
