7 nights: 01 - 08 November 2024
Price: AUD$5,250 / £2,810per person
The Rolex Sydney Hobart Race is one of the toughest and most respected ocean races in the world and on this passage we will sail the reverse Category 1 course from Hobart to Sydney and take in the stunning scenery along the east coast of Tasmania before crossing Bass Strait to sail up the east coast of Victoria and New South Wales to our destination in Sydney NSW.
You can fly directly into Hobart Airport on the 1st of November 2024 and join us for a crew dinner that evening. Our crew will assemble on the 2nd of November and we’ll familiarise you with the yacht, systems and safety equipment. We will aim to depart (subject to weather) around midday from our Hobart marina berth. You are welcome to stay onboard from the date you arrive, but if you plan to arrive prior to 1st of November, you may need to arrange accommodation ashore. You can depart out of Sydney airport on or after the 8th of November.
Your crew package includes; all meals onboard, crew meals ashore in Hobart and on day of arrival in Sydney, accommodation onboard, your Ocean Sailing Expeditions crew shirt, marina fees, the use of a PFD (personal floatation device), PLB (personal locator beacon), and a safety tether. Your bedding, a pillow and towel are also included along with suncream.
Your crew package excludes; accommodation ashore, flights and transport to and from departure and arrival ports, alcohol, toiletries, clothing, and wet weather gear. You will need to complete either a 5-hour online or 2-day classroom-based Sea Safety and Survival Training Course or equivalent prior to departure.
It’s always recommended that you book flights with date flexibility in case of unforeseen changes due to weather or schedules. Accommodation options if you want to stay ashore on either side of the trip: AirBNB, Booking.com, Wotif & HomeAway.
