We start our voyage from the saga island of Iceland, exploring the northwest and west coasts. The volcanic activity with hot springs in every other fjord makes the visit unique.
This is the voyage for you curious to explore the wild side of Steigen and Lofoten areas. Where we have anchorages, mountains, and the archipelago to ourselves.
Generally, no – beginners are as welcome as experienced sailors on the majority of the trips we list. To be sure, read the description of your trip thoroughly; if particular sailing ability is required, it will be specified there.
Can I bring a hard suitcase?
Ideally not. Space on boats is always limited and you don’t want to end up sharing you bunk with your suitcase! Soft luggage such as duffel bags and rucksacks are your best bet.
Are Kraken sailing trips suitable for solo travellers?
Generally, YES! Solo travellers may travel alone, but on arrival they become part of the crew. If a trip isn’t suitable for solo travellers you’ll find we will say so on the trip’s listing page.
What about currency fluctuations?
Trips are priced in the operator’s local currency and we charge you a conversion to that amount correct at the day of charging. See Payments for more details.
